Reading saw off rock-bottom Crewe to set a 31-match unbeaten record for the second tier of English football. Reading have not lost a league match since their opening day defeat against Plymouth and even at 2/5 will have had plenty of support from punters. Crewe managed to take the lead after 14 minutes but found themselves 3-1 behind at the break, with Reading edging the match 4-3 at full time.

Leeds United maintained their position in third place with a 2-0 victory cheap viagra over Queens Park Rangers. Leeds, who had won their last three fixtures at Elland Road, could be backed at 4/6 and goals from Richard Cresswell and Paul Butler sealed all three points.

Aki Riihilahti marked his first start for Crystal Palace since September with the winning goal against Cardiff City. Palace, at 4/5 took the lead after 70 minutes and an equaliser for Cameron Jerome was disallowed for an earlier foul.

Preston were the only play-off team to slip up, being held to a goalless draw at Stoke. North End, now unbeaten in 22 matches, will have generic viagra disappointed backers at 7/5 after Paul McKenna missed a penalty with three minutes remaining.

Luton let an early lead against visitors Hull slip, with the Tigers winning at large 10/3 odds. Keith Keane gave Mike Newells side the lead after eight minutes but Hull fought back with goals from Stuart Elliott, Daryl Duffy and Jon Parkin to lead 3-1 at half time. Chris Coyne headed in a second for Luton with four minutes left to set up a tense finale.

Managerless viagra Leicester edged out of the bottom three with an unlikely 9/5 win over play-off chasers Wolves. Matty Fryatts goal in the 70 minute earned the Foxes their first back-to-back victory of the season and their first home win in six attempts.

Sheffield Wednesday boosted their battle against the drop with a win at Millwall. Frank Simeks goal secured a win for buy viagra the Owls at 2/1 and sees them four points clear of relegation.

On Sunday, the Old Farm derby between Norwich and Ipswich produced an away win at tasty 11/4 odds. On loan Jonatan Johansson opened the scoring on his Canaries debut after 33 minutes but Jimmy Juan equalised five minutes later. The match ended in controversy as Danny Haynes appeared to use order viagra his hand to alternative to viagra bundle in the ball although the goal was officially given as a Gary Doherty own goal.

Gamers in the Game

Sometimes at night, while I sleep, I dream that I am the point guard on Michael Jordans Chicago Bulls. Other nights, I bat cleanup for the Chicago White Sox. If that isnt busy enough, I still often find time order viagra to quarterback Jimmy Johnsons Dallas Cowboys.

The bad thing about my dreams: they end.

By no means am I a professional athlete. Yet almost every night, I watch myself on TV draining three pointers, hitting towering home runs, and throwing sky scraping touchdown passes with the best in the game.

I realize all my sports dreams are make believe. I live for lifes little pleasures.

The tiny light at the end of my tunnel is thanks to todays digital technology. I can become a professional athlete by creating myself in a video game.

Im not the only person to do it, or to have viagra ever done it.

Joffrey Lupul is a winger for the Anaheim Mighty Ducks. In addition, he is also a featured athlete in EA Sports NHL 2004.

I generic viagra used to create my own player and try to make it look as much like me as possible, said Lupul in an interview with John Gaudiosi of ESPN Gamer. I guess now I wont have to do that.

Sports video games have been evolving since Pong, a tennis-like game where two players use long bars to defend their end of the screen from what vaguely resembles a ball. It debuted on the Atari game system in 1976. In 2003, the top-selling game of the year was EA Sports Madden NFL 2004, which sold over 1.3 million copies in its first week.

Unlike me, many athletes today buy viagra do not need to create a digital image of themselves to be featured in a game. Todays popular sports video games have the characteristics of all active players. Professionally licensed games even have players accurate height, weight, and hometown. The best games even feature individual trademarks of certain players, like Vince Carters classic double-handed sky point after a furious dunk, or Ichiros bailout first step as he swings at an inside pitch.

When I was a little kid, everybody could do the same dunks and lay-ups, said Jay Williams in an interview with Patrick Hruby of ESPN Gamer. Williams, formerly an NBA point guard, plays video games daily as a diversion from the rigors of rehabilitating his left leg following a 2003 motorcycle accident. I remember last year, the game version of me was doing the same hand gestures I do.

The NCAA prohibits endorsement by its amateur athletes, but that doesnt mean collegiate athletes are less fortunate. All the player attributes are there, only the names are deleted to protect the unpaid.

Jason Colson is a 61, 215 pound, sophomore tailback who proudly wears No. 24 at West Virginia University (WVU). In EA Sports NCAA Football 2005, his name has been changed to HB #24, but the height, weight, and class rank are all the same. When No. 24 steps into the backfield alternative to viagra, the game player knows they are about to hand off to Mr. Colson.

As a youngster, I never pictured myself being in a video game, said Colson. Its cool playing as yourself.

Todays younger athletes have grown up in the video game generation. All of them have memories of playing games as kids and teens. Many still play.

One of my favorite game players growing up was Terrell Davis in the Madden games, remembers Kay-Jay Harris, another WVU tailback you can find in NCAA Football 05, starring as HB #1. [Davis] never looked like he was running that fast, yet no one could catch him. Our running styles are similar.

Most cheap viagra athletes play video games the way most gamers play: as entertainment, for fun. In WVUs football player lounge, a PlayStation2 (PS2) is plugged in next to the team TV. Several players take the games they play on the screen as serious as the games they play on the field.

Ray Lewis, whose spastic pre-game dances and primal, near death-causing hits on the field make him one of the most intimidating players in the NFL, is also known to be one of the most competitive video game players in the league. Lewis hates to lose at anything he does. Thanks to his competitiveness on the field and in front of the screen, Lewis became the first defensive player to be chosen as cover man for the 2005 installment of EAs Madden NFL series in August.

Video game popularity with athletes has soared because of the free time they have in the off-season.

[Games are] relaxing. Its pure entertainment. This is the way you kill four, five hours, Lewis said in an interview with Matt Wong of ESPN Gamer. You have your boys over, you have your kids over, and you have a big tournament. We might have three TVs going.

I played [EA Sports] MVP Baseball 2004 all summer long, and Rasheed Marshall and I played MarioKart on [Ninetendo] Gamecube for a week straight, said Harris. I could play games like that all day, 10 straight.

Games are clearly the best cure for the off-season blues, but many athletes see the benefits video games have as recruiting tools.

Video games can be a positive influence for younger kids, who might not have started skating yet, said Minnesota Wild center Pierre-Marc Bouchard, in an interview with Gaudiosi. If you get into the realism of the video games, kids might try street hockey and eventually graduate to the rink.

The National Hockey League has been entrenched in a lockout since Sept. 16. With no end in sight, holding the interest of young fans will be crucial to its future. While it seems possible that the entire 2004-2005 season could be cancelled, fans can still find excitement by turning on their PS2.

Its tough to replicate the battles along the boards in video games, said Eric Staal in an interview with Gaudiosi. Staal plays center for the NHLs Carolina Hurricanes. But if kids dont know anything about hockey, [video games] are fun to play because its up and down action and scoring goals.

Microsofts Xbox, PS2, and GameCube allow sports to be played year round. Fans can get their fix at any time of the year with a simple flip switch. Indeed, they are simulated, but the World Series can go on in the dead of winter, and hockey games can hit the ice in the scorch of summer.

For athletes, video games can help them stay entertained, or distracted, when they arent on the field.

For future athletes, gaming consoles provide the ultimate first step to falling in love with a sport.

Video games allow all who play to live outside themselves. Armchair quarterbacks become heroes. On the field quarterbacks get the opportunity to dominate their most hated rivals. Everyone can live out dreams in cyber world they never could on the field.

Ancient Meteor Impact May Hold Key to Uranium Exploration Success at Cluff

I look at about 100 different projects a year, most of which go into the round filing cabinet on my floor, said Tony Harvey, the senior technical advisor to ESO Uranium (TSX: ESO), and formerly a senior manager of Wright Engineers-Fluor Daniels, which was involved with the design and construction of 14 mines worldwide. Harvey quickly ticked off what is necessary to attract his eye, I need to see history. I need to see signposts before I give it any credence. So why is he advising little-known ESO Uranium, viagra after a long, prolific career?

I believe cheap viagra this one has a huge amount of history, Harvey argued. Not only have you got the Cluff Lake mine, which already confirms the presence of uranium, but you have got the Shea Creek drilling intercepts which validate it. We have the conductors streaming onto our property. We have the boulders, which is also another sign post. The boulders, of which Tony Harvey refers, are the six uranium-mineralized boulders near the ESO Uranium project on the companys Cluff property. Near those boulders, a promising drill hole from the 1970s indicated 0.85% U3O8 over 2.3 meters. It was all but forgotten until the recent explosion of exploration activity in Saskatchewans Athabasca Basin, an area which has helped Cameco (NYSE: CCJ) grow into a company with a market capitalization of nearly $12 billion.

What ESO Uraniums geological team will be looking for at the companys Cluff property are Cluff Lake style uranium deposits in basement rocks with the Carswell structure close to the unconformity with sandstones of the Athabasca group. That was allegedly buy viagra created by the meteor's impact.

Drilling in the Meteors Wake

The value of the ore extracted at the Cluff mine, in todays terms, would be equivalent to $2.6 billion, explained Harvey. Thats how much was extracted at the Cluff mine. The companys vice president of exploration, Benjamin Ainsworth, who is both a senior geologist and a mining engineer, helped explain the Cluff structure. A meteorite probably impacted at this location and with sufficient force to break right through the layers generic viagra of Athabasca sandstone on the surface. On rebound, basement rocks got lifted back up. In bouncing back out, it also lifted up the surrounding Athabasca rocks and tipped them up, if you can imagine, like an opening flower. As a result, the basement got lifted up to the surface and made it easier to find and mine the uranium at Cluff. Ainsworth added, The significance of that for me and our group is that shows very high grade uranium deposits in the western side of Athabasca.

Drilling a property helps order viagra the geological team better understand the area. Since the Cluff property was mined out, two decades ago, additional scientific study has opened up new doors. At the 67th Annual Meteoritical Society Meeting, University of Quebec Earth Science professors presented a paper entitled, A Re-Evaluation of the Size of the Carswell Astrobleme. The Montreal scientists concluded in the 2004 annual conference held in Brazil, The Carswell impact structure is therefore older and larger than previously estimated the central uplift considered to be under the annular dolomitic unit would suggest a crater size in the basement of 118 to 125 kilometers wide. While some believe the meteor hit about 478 million years ago, recent evidence suggests it may have been closer to 1.8 billion years ago.

Ainsworth warned there is a lot of risk in drilling for uranium deposits. The geometry of these things is damn small. ESO president Jonathan George pointed out that the worlds richest uranium deposit, McArthur River, hosting about 400 million pounds of uranium, had half of its deposit in an area about half alternative to viagra the size of a football field. I think thats mind boggling, he said, that a $7 billion project would be on an area that small.

As alternative to viagra I've told you before, "it takes money to make money?" Well it's true, although you will be hard pressed to find experienced internet marketers to tell how much they spend on promoting and advertising. Sometimes, you have to dig a little deeper to find the truth in every hype you read. It's a fact that the people that makes alot of money online also spends alot of money on advertising, tools, resources and know how to get the job done.

If you are willing to take the necessary action to make 'big money' happen for you - it will. It takes time. You can criticize, be skeptical and sure that 'big money' can't happen for you - and it won't. Sit down and write a financial and a sound business plan. Local Chamber of Commerce can give all the info you need to get started.

If viagra you believe that you will succeed you're right, if you believe that it won't work, you're right also.

To summarize, you have cheap viagra heard people's story how they're making a fortune on the internet and how easy it is but the reality is some stories are NOT out of this world or unrealistic but it just doesn't happen overnight. About Bass

If you want to catch more and bigger largemouth bass you must know some basic information about their biology. Here you will learn everything about largemouth bass from how their metabolism viagra works to if they posses colour vision. This is extremely valuable information for a serious bass angler, or serious bass angler wanna be.

Metabolism buy viagra:Bass are cold blooded, meaning their metabolism is controlled by water temperature. When the water goes below, oh lets say around the 50 degree Fahrenheit mark, the bass' metabolism slows down making the fish not eat as much. When the water temperature goes above the 50 degree Fahrenheit mark bass get more and more active due to their metabolism. The best possible water temperature bass can stay in is alternative to viagra around 68-78 degrees Fahrenheit (20-25 degrees Celsius). Any temperature order viagra above 80 degrees Fahrenheit causes low dissolved oxygen levels and makes the largemouth bass hard to breathe. Another good temperature for bass is when it is steady and there are no sudden changes. Bass in northern climates live longer but do not grow big. In southern climates bass live shorter, but grow larger.

Other Temperature Facts:When the water temperature turns to about 62-68 degrees Fahrenheit (16-20 degrees C) largemouth bass begin to spawn. Largemouth bass make beds on the bottom of the water in shallow areas of the water body. A good rule of thumb is for the deeper the bed, the bigger the fish. But in some places fishing for bass while they are spawning is illegal. Shortly after spawning they head to shallow water areas. Bass can tell when a cold front is coming, they binge eat as much as possible before the cold front and then stop eating altogether during the cold front. Oh, and if you do not know how a bass can tell what temperature the water is, it is proven that a largemouth bass cheap viagra can feel a change in temperature of 1 tenth of a degree.

Senses of The Largemouth Bass:

Lateral Line:The lateral line is made up of nerve endings on the side of the fish. The lateral line picks up vibrations in the water. This is so sensitive it can tell what size, speed, shape, etc. of the prey or predator.

Sight:Yes, largemouth do posses colour vision. The bass relies mostly on colours in clear or other high visibility water. In muddy water bass do not use this sense as much as their lateral line or smell. Fish see in 2 dimensions to the side of their body. Bass can see in 3 dimensions from about 5 inches from their generic viagra snout and out to, depending on water clarity, 100 feet to 5 feet.

Hearing:Sound travels through water much better than air. But, bass have ears inside their skull instead of outside. Bass do, however, have a keen sense of hearing.

Smell:Bass use smell to detect prey or predators. Their smell is very sensitive and if they smell a predator nearby they will swim away from the area. And, therefore, if they smell prey they will go in search of it and eat it.

To Frame or Not to Frame - That is the Question

Is this worth framing?

If you like it, if it gives you enjoyment, if it has sentimental value, then frame it and enjoy it. Dont judge it, and dont let others judge it either.

A few years ago I owned and operated three picture frame shops/art galleries. The number one question I used to generic viagra get was, is this worth framing? My answer was always, Yes, of course it is.

I would get customers carrying in snap shots, childrens artwork, prints from the free calendar they got from their insurance company and just about any picture or print that you can imagine from a number of sources. Yet, the answer is always the same. What makes an item worth framing is what it is worth to you, and no one else. The vast majority of that value has nothing to do with dollars and cents. It has to do with its intrinsic value that no one else can appraise or appreciate.

I especially encouraged parents to frame childrens artwork. Now obviously this can get a bit expensive if the child is cranking out 3 or 4 a day in a school art class. However, framing selective pieces can go a long way towards encouraging a budding future great master or just building self-esteem in general.

Vacation snap shots are also worth framing. The more time that passes the more you will be glad you made the investment. With all the new computer technology, it is easy to touch them up. You may be surprised to find you have a little more Ansel Adams talent in you than you thought.

I have a good friend that lives in a beautiful home surrounded by a golf course community that boasts of residents that include NFL Football stars and professional golfers. She is retired now, but at one time was a rather large art dealer specializing in paper art. Her home is beautifully decorated, as one would imagine an art dealers home to be. I cant begin to tell you the huge amount of artwork she has had the opportunity to chose from, many of them very valuable.

Yet, walking through her entryway into her home, the very first piece of artwork you see is a small but gorgeous buy viagra, professionally framed and matted print entitled Ted. I sell it in my eBay Store for $15.00, http://stores.ebay.com/FrameHouseGallery/.

When I asked her of all the beautiful prints and originals (not that this one isnt beautiful) that she had to chose from why was Ted picked to be the alternative to viagra first piece one sees when they enter the home, her answer was simply, Because I like it!

So if you like it, it doesnt really order viagra matter what anyone else thinks. Frame it, hang it and enjoy it!

How To Overcome Your Fear Of Success

Ever hear about someone eating something spicy, and oncethey get the spices down, it makes them start sweating?

Well, the other day I was eating lunch with a friend of mine-- Mexican food -- and immediately after gobbling down somehot salsa, sweat starts pouring down my buddy's face, likehe was a fat man in a sauna.

The truth is, sometimes in anticipation of you crossing thefinish line on a project you're working buy viagra on, your mindbecomes filled with anxiety and fears -- and suddenly YOUstart sweating.

Some of order viagra your fears will be real ("What if your generic viagra projectfails?")... and... some of them will simply be perceived("What will my significant other think of me?" and...ironically, "What if your project fails?").

Steven Pressfield, in his book, The War Of Art, calls thesefears, thoughts and worries, "Resistance".

And "sensing" Resistance, is actually a good thing.

See, when you feel resistance slowly creeping its way intothe back of your mind, it usually means you're about to dosomething with explosive potential -- maybe something thatwill even change your life forever.

Hockey great Wayne Gretsky once said, "You miss 100% of theshots you never take."

So start shooting, and don't be afraid.

My mentor once told me, most of the fears that viagra spend theirtime preoccupying your thoughts (and wasting your time),have all been created, from the ground alternative to viagra up, by you -- inside the walls of your own mind.

So don't let all these silly notions and all that othernegative B.S. hold you back.

I know, just as well as you do, that these "bad" thoughtsusually start playing themselves over-and-over again in theback of your mind, like some kind of vicious broken taperecorder... usually at the times you LEAST need to hear them.

Don't worry though.

It's just Resistance telling you you're getting a little outof your comfort zone, and that you're on the right track.

So start taking your shots, and don't be so afraid -- evenif you are sweating like the fat man in the sauna.

Now go sell something,

NHL 2005: Who To Bet On

In the last 12 months the National Hockey League has undergone as massive of an overhaul as any sports league in the last half century. With revamped generic viagra rules, a restructured salary system and a new television partner, professional hockey is the shell of the sport that locked its doors a year ago. The changes reflect the NHL's new mantra - more scoring, increased parity and cost certainty. So forget everything you know or think you know about the NHL, which begins preseason play on Sept. 16, as even the most faithful and ardent fan has to admit that they have no clue as to how the game will look in 2005-06.

First, hockey viewers will have to get used to watching their game on a new station. ESPN took a gamble and refused to pick up the network's option on the NHL's broadcasting rights. The idea was that ESPN would be able to opt out of their deal, and then repurchase the rights at a substantially reduced rate. Instead, the Outdoor Living Network, a subsidiary of Comcast Cable, swooped in with a very lucrative offer and purchased the rights to broadcast the NHL regular season and playoffs for $65 million this season, $70 million in 2006-2007, and $72.5 million in 2007-2008. Not to worry though - Barry Melrose and his man mullet have signed on with OLN.

However, OLN only reaches an estimated 65 million homes throughout buy viagra the United States and Canada. That's a substantial reduction from the 90 million subscribers that ESPN boasts, and the 89 million viewers that ESPN2 can reach. Also, since ESPN doesn't own the rights, the league shouldn't expect too much coverage from those Bristol bastards. The new deal - while a relative windfall for a sport with flailing TV ratings - definitely relegates the NHL to Niche Sport status. Well, that and a 309-day lockout will turn off any fan base. Right now hockey's popularity lies somewhere around the WNBA and extreme dodgeball.

Next, besides the ideological alterations that the league has experienced, there have been considerable changes to the practical aspects of the game. A competition committee revisited several issues that were pinpointed as problem areas during the pre-lockout days. The highlights of their adopted rule changes are:

1) No more ties. Instead of records that read like Lotto picks, the league has gone back to good ol' fashioned wins and losses. At the end of overtime a six-player shootout will ensue, followed by a sudden death shootout if necessary.
2) Goalies will no longer be allowed to be built like Optimus Prime. Their allotted padding has been reduced 11 percent. The rule is backed by $25,000 fines and suspensions.
3) Goaltenders can no longer "freeze" the puck, and a trapezoidal area has been set up behind the goal line. The goalies are only allowed to handle the puck within that area when behind the goal line.
4) The offensive zone will be larger. The bluelines were each moved two feet closer to one another, shrinking the neutral zone. Also, the goal-lines have been moved two feet further from the boards, leaving more room behind the net.
5) The red line is gone, and two-line passes are now legal.
6) Other minor changes have occurred. There's no flopping, a point of emphasis on clutching and grabbing, anyone who instigates a fight in the last five minutes gets suspended, no flipping the puck into the stands in alternative to viagra your defensive zone, and no public complaints about the league.

The idea is that all of these rule modifications will open up scoring and increase the speed of the game. They're hoping that the new NHL will be similar to the hockey played in the Olympics cheap viagra, which features more scoring and skill rather than neutral zone traps and the grind-it-out garbage that had permeated the NHL over the last decade.

Finally, a whirlwind of player movement has completely reconfigured the balance of talent throughout the league. Trying to figure out who is going where has proven more tiresome than trying to keep up with which pitcher Alyssa Milano is banging now. In fact, when opening night comes (the Rangers open against the Flyers on Oct. 5) most fans will feel like Guy Pierce's short-term-memory depraved character in Memento. They'll vaguely recognize where they are but have no idea how they got there.

I saw a post on another sports site that I felt best sums up the player movement that's taken place since the league went back in business: "Don't you feel like the new NHL is the equivalent of someone stealing your NHL '95 game for Sega, randomizing the rosters, and then giving it back to you?"

Laying a bet on NHL futures trying to predict who will hoist the Cup next summer could be a great opportunity to fleece some unsuspecting oddsmakers. But, as always, wager at your own risk. Here's a quick overview on some teams that will be worth watching and could be worth the gamble:

Detroit Red Wings (17/2) - The favorites for the upcoming season reside in Hockeytown. It's a terrible bet, and don't bite. Yes the Red Wings were the best team in the 2003-04 regular season with 109 overall points, but perhaps no team was hurt more by the year off. Steve Yzerman is now 40, Chris Chelios is 43 and Brendan Shanahan is turning 37. The window may have closed for the Wings and their AARP roster. Also, Detroit has only about $7 million to resign Pavel Datsyuk (who's said he's not even close to a deal) and/or Henrik Zetterberg. This team has holes, and now they can't plug it with money.

Philadelphia Flyers (9/1) - The Flyers waived goodbye to its nucleus of Jeremy Roenick, John LeClair and Mark Recchi. Their absence will open up the ice for young speedsters Jeff Carter and Mike Richards. Also, they managed to pilfer Peter Forsberg and Derian Hatcher, adding two of the top free agent talents to an already strong team. The Flyers should have a slight edge over New Jersey in their quest to defend their Atlantic Division championship.

Ottawa Senators (11/1) - The Sens were the top scoring team in the Eastern Conference in 2003-04 (262 goals), and they added the dynamic Dany Heatley in a blockbuster deal that included Marian Hossa. As long as no one asks Heatley to be the designated driver, he should add some more pop to Ottawa's offense. Daniel Alfredsson led the team with 48 assists in 03-04, and will be setting the table for Heatley. This squad is deep and strong, and will be relying on Ray Emery and Dominick Hasek in the net.

Calgary Flames (13/1) - The runners-up to the 2004 champion Tampa Bay Lightning (man, that still sounds strange) will be even better this season. The key move they made was retaining superstar Jerome Iginla. Iginla was tied for the NHL lead with 41 goals in 03-04. The Flames upgraded the offense by bringing in Tony Amonte and Darren McCarty. Also, Roman Hamrlik was acquired to shore up an already stout defense.

New Jersey Devils (14/1) - This is a very interesting team going into the preseason. As Detroit and Colorado will be most affected by the salary cap, New Jersey will be most affected by the rule changes. Many blame the Devils for pioneering the neutral zone trap and the clutch-and-grab style that took over the league in the last decade. Offensively, they still have Scott Gomez (team leader in assists) and Patrick Elias (leader in goals and points) and I expect big numbers from both. They've won at least 41 games in each of the past three seasons, and with Martin Brodeur in goal they always have a shot.

Colorado Avalance (14/1) - The Avs still have Joe Sakic and Pierre Turgeon in the center, Brad May and Alex Tanguay on the left and Milan Hejduk on the right. So in other words, they still have a chance. Colorado has put up an average of 42 wins per year the last three seasons, and its core remains intact. Rob Blake is back to anchor the defense and David Aebischer is the man in the cage. I expect them to figure prominently in the Western Conference, but I don't think they have enough depth to hoist the Cup.

Boston Bruins (15/1) - The Bruins were one of the teams that benefited the most from the outlandish free agency. They were able to lock up captain Joe Thornton for three years, and keep Glen Murray on the club order viagra. Also, they were able to add seasoned vets Shawn McEachern and Brian Leetch, as well as Alexi Zhamnov and Dave Scatchard. That talent infusion improves a team that was already pretty tough (defending Northeast Division champions). The pressure will be on Andrew Raycroft, the only goalie on the roster.

Pittsburgh Penguins (15/1) - The March of the Penguins back to hockey's elite may start this season. Besides being a fiscal farce off the ice, they've been one of the worst teams on it for the past several years, managing just 78 wins in the last three seasons. They put up only 2.3 goals a game while winning 23 games in 03-04. But the Steel City won the Sidney Crosby Sweepstakes, and the "next Gretzky" gives them instant credibility. They resigned leading scorer Dick Tarnstrom and acquired Lyle Odelein, and that young talent may be ready to take the next step.

Tampa Bay Lightning (15/1) - Winning the Stanley Cup a few weeks before the lockout must've been kind of like winning the lottery and then finding out we're going back to the barter system. Tampa Bay caught lightning in a bottle in the summer of 2004, and the defending Stanley Cup champions have brought back the principals involved in that run. Dave Andreychuk, Martin St. Louis, and Vincent Lecavalier are all back and ready to go. They roster reeks of old age, but they're still the champs and should be shown the proper respect.

Anaheim Mighty Ducks (30/1) - Team Teemu returns as the head of the Flying V. Sergie Federov is looking to salvage a burnt out career, and Scott Niedermeyer should flourish in Anaheim's wide-open attack. Also, the Ducks have a huge advantage with J-S Giguere minding the net. That's one guy who won't need the extra padding to dominate. A drawback is that they traded captain Steve Rucchin to the Rangers.

Atlanta Thrashers (33/1) - I like this pick for the value. The Hossa-Heatley trade was pretty much a push, but getting a solid veteran defenseman like Greg deVries in the deal may shift the advantage in the Thrashers favor. They already posses a young core led by the very talented Ilya Kovalchuk (team leader in goals and assists) and Hossa's playmaking style (36 goals viagra and 82 points) will fit right in. They signed Mike Dunham to mentor talented youngster Kari Lehtonen, and brought in Bobby Holik to add even more firepower. They might be a year away, but it may be worth it to take a $10 or $20 flier on them.
